Rammellzee: The Equation, The Letter Racers
09/02/2012The reclusive artist that was Rammellzee started his career in Queens tagging on the side of A train cars, he then moved on to become an influential lyricist in the exploding hip hop scene. His art is the result of his obsession with futurism and linguistics, the Hip-Hop and graffiti pioneer passed away at age 49 in 2010. The artists “The Letter Racers” sculptures are on show for the first time in NYC, created over the course of 14 years from found objects which explore metaphysical concepts in the physical world.
Rammellzee: The Equation, The Letter Racers" is on show at the The Suzanne Geiss Company from 8 March to 21 April 2012, the show coincides with the MoMA's "Print/Out" exhibition which will show select pieces from "The Letter Racers" starting 19 February 2012.
