23/04/2012

Barbican presents Bauhaus: Art as Life, the biggest Bauhaus exhibition in the UK in over 40 years. A selection of painting, sculpture, design, architecture, film, photography, textiles, ceramics, theatre and installation from this famous art school will be on show from masters such as Josef and Anni Albers, Marianne Brandt, Marcel Breuer, Walter Gropius, Wassily Kandinsky, Paul Klee, Oskar Schlemmer, Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and more. These masters along with lesser known artists and students of the school present works that explore the "Bauhaus’ utopian vision to change society in the aftermath of the First World War."
