As streetwear (in the traditional sense) channels an increasingly high-end aesthetic, and, accordingly, high-fashion continues to mimic street trends, there are a select few menswear retailers who hit the nail on the head season after season, with curated selections that appeal to evolving trends and tastes. Having existed online and in various boutiques to date, Parisian art/fashion collective Andrea Crews have just opened their first brick and mortar location at 83 Rue de Turenne, Paris. The modular and versatile space incorporates a shop, dressing room, mini photo studio, library and "chilling space" and was decorated by a new wave of young designers: fitting room in soft mirrors by Victoria Willmotte; weightless rack by Krux Amsterdam; african wax ottoman chairs by Maroussia Rebecq; neo mephis chair and concrete marble cubes by Clémence Seilles, and windows in pop acid units by Eli Serres.

Jack of all creative trades, James Franco, thrills with his latest directorial output, A Beautiful Odyssey, a new film for denim brand, 7 For All Mankind. This isn't his first jaunt behind the camera for the brand - their relationship spans 3 seasons - but the SS13 campaign is particularly poignant. Set to the nostalgic jangle of the Selebrities track, "I could Change", the film spins a narrative of hazy young love. Two cuts of the film have been released - one, voted by Facebook fans based on a series of pre-released teasers, and this one, the director's cut. Press play.

"Wait so bootlegs are cool now?" reads the first comment under this video on Vfiles' Youtube channel, in which DJ/designer/homie-about-town, Heron Preston, talks briefly about the unstoppable phenomenon. It's a fair point, and one which is no doubt confounding traditionalist fashionistas everywhere: When did rip-offs become as desirable as the real thing, and will there continue to be a line (in terms of hi vs lo) between the two?

LOVE Magazine have premiered a new film, entitled, Louis Vuitton AW2013 by James Lima, on their website. 

The film features leading lights from Louis Vuitton's Autumn/Winter 2013/14 Paris show, who during night time fittings with Katie Grand at Louis Vuitton's studio, were whisked outside onto Rue du Pont Neuf where Lima filmed them on the surrounding streets. The film also combines backstage show footage, and features a hauntingly beautiful soundtrack by Steve Mackey.

Spring/Summer 2013 sees the introduction of the hand-engraved Zodiac series from London based jewellery company BUNNEY.

Following traditional 'woodcut' style Horoscope signs, each badge is carefully hand-engraved in London and hallmarks are proudly featured on the front of each piece beneath the BUNNEY mark. The badges fasten with a typical badge 'D-Pin' closure.

French fashion/art collective Andrea Crews presented its Fall/Winter 2013/14 collection on Friday in a unique manner, forgoing the runway and broadcasting the collection exclusively on the new video application VINE. The application allows for videos of up to 6 seconds to be played as loops, which meant the presentation was a performance in itself. Blending tartan punk with shimmering sci-fi, this is the first time an entire fashion show has been presented on VINE.
